Ok, I must have missed something. I thought you were looking for a way to get bluetooth to your hearing aids but you don't have bluetooth at all? I tried to tune my hearing aids to the 6000 but failed so I saved $4000 and sent them back.

I've never used one but I think you need a steelPHASE Enhancer from Phase Technical and match that to a good set of wireless noise cancelling headphones. Nenad will advise you.
Yes money box, my hearing aids are Bluetooth and I wanted to get 5000 signal streamed straight into them. I phoned several experienced techs today and found that it could be done for around1-2 thousand dollars with a special rather bulky tx that might or might not be compatible so I think I’ll give the idea away. I would have had a look at those round the neck speakers but not compatible with the 5000.

Leroy with the system I use the Oticon Connectclip 2.4G BL I bought mine from Audika is about $395.00 on eBay and my TX unit which plugs into the headphone socket on the GPX5000 or in my case the SteelPHASE Enhancer was less than $60.00 and is only 40Wx12Dx50H and all you will need is a 6.5 Stereo plug to 3.5 Stereo plug lead wired correctly.

The Avantree neck speakers are compatible with the GPX5000 with the correct Bluetooth TX unit.

Regards, Ian.

Thanks again Ian I’m looking at something as we speak, don’t know if it will work but I’m trying to save a bit of cash..!

I run the Avantree Torus as my backup if things go wrong paired to the same Bluetooth TX as I use for the Connectclip I learnt early on you have to have a backup.

Regards, Ian.
I use the Avantalk headset with the small speakers next you your ears, almost like ear buds. It has a band around the back of your neck.

They are aptx low latency and work very well.

Hilux, are they the ‘lingo’ with the speaker rod that you slip out of the way?

Hi Leroy, yes thats the ones. I'm happy with them. I don't like the microphone stalk and just angle that backwards so its out of the way.

Sound quality is ok. I cannot give a comparison to headphones as I've never used them.

I like them as I can hear what's going on around me which is important as most of my detecting is suburban parks or along the river.
