iam not looking for gold iam into the old relics like old military areas and old coins and that kind of stuff, i just figured an old gold area you would find old relics and stuff

Just a thing on the conservation areas can you detect in them as long as you dont take anything natural. If your looking for man made relics opposed to gold etc. Obviously you would need to leave any natural gold where you find it.

Ps You could guarantee thats when youll find a 20kg nugget lol

Unless there is a designated area/fossicking area the answer is usually no.

"The National Parks and Wildlife Regulation 2009 Clause 16 Cultural heritage - 3) A person must not in a park:
(a) use any metal detector or other apparatus for detecting any metal or metal object

"park" :
(a) when used as a noun, means a national park, historic site, state conservation area, regional park, nature reserve, karst conservation reserve or Aboriginal area, or any land acquired by the Minister under Part 11 of the Act, and includes all roads and waters within the boundaries of any such park, site, area, reserve or land"
