ahh ok my housemate talks about a place called the cells which is about 4 hours away it was and old gold mining site apparently

It is on what is called " the fossickers way " at the foot of the great dividing range. It really is amazing.

yeah ill find out more about it, they take there trail bikes there but they said its not accessable by car

mates giving me the info now theres an old abandoned homestead and old mines around the place aswell you can only get in by 4wd on a dry day ive got the map of the area now aswell

Mate Nelson Bay is about 45min up the coast from Newie. About 20 beaches here . The Cells river is all under SCA now and out of bounds. I found out the hard way as it's still listed as state forest on maps and GE

No mate. Nearly every state conservation area is off limit to fossickers. They are slowly and sneakily turning state forests into these sca's. The ironic thing the only difference to a national park is that there is a clause to let big miners in if anything good is found.

Not bad are they???? Next out local parks will be " off bounds!" That being said, I've been in Nundle for a day now, and have noticed that people have just left MASSIVE big holes in the banks?

There's not much conservation. They just change the sign out front and let the fuel build up coz you can't touch the flora
