Thanks to all for all the likes and pleasantries that have followed, i am fully chuffed to have won and it will be a great sluice for my 6 year old son to begin his prospecting carreer.

Well done AF, bet you are as happy af!! ;)

PM or email me your address or better still jump in the car and bring that tector down for a play again! Im missing mine.

I would love your gold bearing cons , but heres a thought , maybe gather enough to run a cons competition if you have access to more.

I wish i could get away but i cant seem to get ontop of work etc this year at all, its good as i am acheiving but every day counts at the moment.

Yep, understand re: the work thing. Drought, fires, floods - now pestilence and probably famine - best make sure you keep Sunday free for church AF :playful:

I sieved the cons down a bit tonight to get rid of the rocky stuff and make it all a bit smaller for packaging. There is a lot of pieces of gold in the little bag but I reckon not much in the mass cons container. Even with the lots of pieces of gold - there is stuff all weight of gold. Maybe .05 of a gram!

I was keen for the winner to run the container through the sluice as a test to see if there was anything left in there. And then maybe add in the bag of bits, run it through again and see what it came up with. It sounds like a rainy day activity for a farmer ;) I actually think I've done a reasonable job with the panning considering it was pretty rough.

To be honest, if it was just a cons comp and all they got were mine then I think the winner would be dissapointed!

I'm very happy to send 'em to you. They're all ready to go. Just let me know :Y:

 The strangest thing I've ever sent in the post.

Surprised it's there already. Sent via snail mail on Wednesday.

I had been trying to pan out the black sand in the little bag from the gold. I reckon 2 minutes after I sent it off I thought "should of used a magnet ya ********!"

Anyway, you probably knew to try that.

Good luck with it :Y:

No buck shot but probably an 80:20 ratio - unfortunately in favour of the black stuff.

Thanks for cleaning up the post mods - didn't think I was being too wayward :playful:

I have had 2 Carlton Zeros though and they sure can fuel the poetic licence
