Same here mate, I scrape the coil too and you are 100% right there I hear it through the koss padding too and it can distract you from the faintest targets.

It would be erratic on 5 with all the led's on but if you're used to it, I can see it's working for you with that first ounce up. I'm going to try the same settings next time out and see how I go with it. Will be hard for me to get used to though.

However i dug up a bolt out of old rifle that i thought was pretty cool.

Very nice gold!

I would take a bucket of that clay home and see what else may be in it from the spot you found your gold. It would be very unusual for that clay ball to be the only one that contained gold.

Definitely a bolt from a rimfire rifle, .22 cal perhaps. Those two little hook things on the end are the cartridge extractors that pull the spent case from the breach.

I think its an sdc to 1/4 inch jack Keano. The guys will correct me if I'm wrong. I believe you can get them as a straight or bungee cable.
