We had Norton's for about 4 years. We found it extremely coincidental just before the annual "cough up" reminders were received, that our laptop & PC seemed to be bogged down. No stress though as Norton's were kind enough(?) to suggest we sign up to other utilities to alleviate problems like that. This year, enough was enough, so we thought we'd swap to a diff program. As my debit card was replaced earlier in the year, I wasn't too stressed about the renewal as they didn't have my new details. So we wiped our phones, laptop etc of Norton's and all sweet. The reminders kept coming, we just ignored them, then we got an email saying "thanks for renewing" - WTF? Turns out they somehow got the wife's credit card details and hit that up. The wife has never had anything to do with Norton's, and her credit card has never been used for online purchases (we only use debit cards for that).
Something shady there so the bank reversed the transaction.

Cheers, Mad Doctor
Yep same here changed card No. but the must have been able to get the a/c No. luckily the bank rang me up and the money was reversed and the debit to my a/c cancelled... Years ago Norton's was good,,, 30 years that is, trading on their good name from then.
