To my knowledge, you were the very first to raise a red flag about this machine, John, and I know how much it must pain you to see Whites let themselves down so badly, when they desperately need to make a great leap forward before the newer European manufacturers eat all of their business.
It's a sad state of affairs that this clearly beta-version detector was released to the public before extensive, independent field testing was done, much less at the premium price asked for it here in Australia. When all is said and done, as a single-frequency VLF, it's only a new version of an old song - how hard should it be to get that right?
