ban something for our indigenous communities, then ban it for everyone.

You can't be serious, why should everyone miss out on something we have grown up with just because some others do the wrong thing, the people who are doing this are the ones who should be penalized, not the law abiding citizens.
They will just end up finding another way, then what, punish everyone for that too.

hey, if its such a bad thing, ban it for everyone. We all have access to vegemite, we all have individuals willing to brew some vege booze. Are we that stupid, to think that only our indigenous people will do it? Or, are we exercising our seemingly god given right, to control a race of people, just because we historically have?

The recipe is only 2 tbsp of Vegemite and the rest is other stuff.. Theres no need for bulk buying of it.. You can't ban it though..its a joke. Alcohol can be made from common grass.. When's the ban on that 8)

I do find vegemite a good hangover forgetter. After a big night out, in the morning I make a sandwich with a thick layer of vegemite in the middle, take a large bite and then taste the vegemeite and forget about the hangover, when the hangover returns, take another bite and so on.

Wow w BB,... talk about autointoxication ,... the yeast in the bread and the moist warmth of your stomach should be enough to reactivate the bread yeast so it can feed on the vegemite(ha),..... honest,... autointoxication used to be a real thing.

Instead of trying to make booze out of Vegemite. I'm going to try and follow the Cockatoos I saw on the golf coarse this morning. They were having a great time squawking and hanging upside down on the overhead wires. They must have already found the ready to eat/ drink the fermented fruit, vegemite, hidden stash of booze.

I'm a long term sufferer/survivor of auto intoxication BB,... living proof that you CAN survive,.... p.s,... have heard on the fermented grape vine that two slices of bread is enough.(ha)

Hate to admit it, but my brother did a long stretch in the can and he told me that they did use Vegemite and fruit scraps to make home brew of sorts. They would stick the plastic juice bottles containing the mixture near the boiler pipes in the laundry to keep warm and brew.

Can't bet my life on its veracity though cause I haven't been inside to see.
