What about just dissolving the quartz ?

Instead of crushing it.

Not many chemicals will disolve quartz, you need hydofluric acid, it's extremely dangerous and not worth the risk, you can't even buy it in Aus in a strong enough form.

Have not used it, did buy some from Supercheap, thought I saw the information on this Forum and was going to test it on a bit of quartz.

It is bad stuff, so be safe and take appropriate safety precautions, no matter what volume % is in liquid. :argh: :skull:
