Is this a cat? Perth, riverside.

Seems to have a long nose for a cat.

The bamboo stick is about 12mm diameter.

In the words of Monty pythons “it’s defunct” whatever it is.
The dead parrot sketch, one of my favourites and couldn't resist looking up the script to remind myself.
Complaint to the pet shop owner for selling him a dead parrot nailed to a perch.
"Now look, mate, I've definitely 'ad enough of this. That parrot is definitely deceased, and when I purchased it not 'alf an hour ago, you assured me that its total lack of movement was due to it bein' tired and shagged out following a prolonged squawk."
He then goes on to describe the parrot's deadness in the following terms
"It's demised, pining, passed on, is no more, has ceased to be, expired, gone to meet its maker, Its a stiff, bereft of life, rests in peace, pushing up the daisies, its metabolic processes now history, off the twig, kicked the bucket, shuffled off it's mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the choir invisible."
Had to further look up "shuffled of its mortal coil" which was apparently a Shakespearean quote from Hamlet about death referring to someone being released from their daily troubles and suffering.
