G'day fellas. This is my first post hope it works, just thought I'd share. I had some spare time and no coin left after spending up on a Gpx 5000 so I knocked up this pick last week from scrap layin around the shed and an old car leaf spring. May need some refining but will do the job for now.
I'll go and introduce myself now.
Scratchie.

Today my latest project was finally dry and finished. 40x20 pine frame, 70x70 pine legs and cypress tongue and groove. cypress was laid on the 45 and each piece was carefully selcected and cut from different lengths to create a gradient across its length ways by transitioning the sapwood to heartwood cuts.
Ive used the existing underside bevelled edges as the facias and planed the tongue off. i went back to the timber yard 3 times trying to find the best length that had a nice transition within it and it also had to be on the underside and runing both direction for each side of the top/deck.
The leg facias were cut from one piece so they flow and are grain coded to the top/deck, they also cover the pivoting wheels its on.
I used pine, teak and ebony coloured putty to fill imperfections and its had 500ml of oil based clear over it.
all done with ozito tools

Made a throw sieve today(weekend coming and all), have since put in 4 eye screws for a couple of ropes,... All folds down nice and compact to fit in on the floor of the boot,... Stainless steel mesh from the scrappos(1/2 of a $20.00 piece) and old bits of hardwood I had surplus from previous projects.

Used the throw sieve today for the first time,... mesh is a bit smaller than I would have liked, but all in all still useful,... some pickys going up in gemstone show and tell (first time ever) soon.
