It is amazing how many people have not tried the old pressure cooker. They are very safe these days and the chicken soup would be done in 20 mins.

Oh god no!....I have an 'aversion' to pressure cookers! My dad bought mum one......but she still cooked the veggies in it for 15 mins!....I was 18 before I discovered a brussel sprout was round, and not just 'mush'! :argh:Jaros said:

Roasted up a chook with butter, coriander, crushed pine nuts, S & P and green jalapeo sauce, mixed together and spread out under the skin.
Some roast veges and cheesy cauliflower and broccoli and good to go

I've been on a road trip through Western NSW with Jannine over the last 10 days. A highlight was a visit to the old Daydream silver mine at Silverton. I'll post about it when I sort out the photos.
Anyway, I'm glad to be home after eating in cafes, pubs and restaurants all that time.
So a nice home cooked meal was called for.
Slow roasted pork spare ribs, jacket potato, spinach and braised beetroot with gravy.
