Yesterday I bought a wireless card for a computer that I am giving to a mate, so that he can surf the net.

Today I bought a Map/Pro gas torch, for brazing etc.

careful with those , useful gas but store them in a well ventilated area , if they leak a tiny little bit it can blow a shed off the map , same in vehicles , they need to be in their own ventilated box , about 12 plumbers and refrigeration guys have died when they open their vehicle door to go to work and kaboom ... the vehicle undergoes a geometrical transformation

It's only a handyman size, I have had them for many years, the last one was falling apart, trigger part held together with Duct tape for about 5 years, so decided to treat myself to a new one,

I've seen first hand what a van & a person look like when they have been blown up with Oxy-Acetylene that was leaking in their vehicle, & blew when ignition of van turned on & started, not a pretty sight, not much of driver left & van spread over a large area.

handyman sized MAP gas has been responsible for way more fatal incidents than oxy acet

dont be tempted to take any shortcuts with it :)

glad you replaced the one that was falling apart

Well done Headsup. I've got myself one as well and take it with me every single time I dare to venture out. I've made sure I've registered it as well and placed the label on the tab.

BumbleB, this is the one I got as well, unfortunately without the headlight but from the same seller. No problem with him and although the 1st aid kit is very basic, it's better than nothing, you just need to buy a couple of compression bandages to go with it. Love the flashing beacon, saves you calling out for help once the rescuers are in the area, hopefully it will never ever be needed.

I done some research on making home brew in these it appears to be OK :)

:D Please do share your experience filling them up mate :D , Thanks

I found they don't last long , but I have made 5 empty's so far need 14 :) only been 5 days :)

I pulled one apart seems easy to do need a triangle screwdriver ebay $ 5 or I made one :) new gas under $1 a tube

Had a Idea as well :p maybe I should fill one with bourbon and cola 8) sounds like a good plan :p

Whites Coinmaster GT, reasons for buying include backlit screen, auto ground tracking/tracking lock, and beach mode. I feel it represents better value for $$$ and features than any of the Garrett Ace range, especially with Garretts current overpriced range in Oz.

After struggling with my settings on the AT Pro, I wish I had a separate Aldi jobbie to play on the beaches :) Excellent value for $100.

I had a led lenser and it's copped a flogging so I bought the updated version, the LED LENSER SE07R. AT $120.00 it's not cheap but should be good for night detecting and mine exploring, fishing.

Patience Gav, I'll take a look at it when we're at Nundle to see what's going on :)
