Had to buy a new set of spark plug leads yesterday,..putting in new spark plugs and the second one wouldn't come out,..looked down the hole and it looked like the top of the plug was butchered, stopping the plug socket reaching to the bottom,.... young fella (13) hooks onto it with tough wire noose, so we wrap the wire around a screwdriver and pull hard,... out comes a chunk of crap,... then we remove the plug(it's still intact) and find it cracked in two spots,.. we inspect the crap and find that it is the inside bits of the spark plug lead post that goes down the hole to the plug(toyota engine),... now I can't drive to super cheap for new leads on one cylinder down,... so out comes the 8 gauge fencing wire and a cut to size bit is forced up the spark plug lead post and put back down the hole over the new plug,..well that engine never run so good as on 8 gauge fencing wire,..all the way to supercheap,..and never melted any wire at all,... no mess, no fuss.So now the old girl has new plugs and leads, and finally is running like a charm,....at least the engine didn't die,.. for that I am grateful.
