Some little tricks that will help your beer retain its head, do not wash your glasses in detergent if at all possible, rinse with hot water if greasy and rinse with cold and drain.
Take one glass and scour the inside of the base with an engraver or coarse sand paper, rinse and pour a new beer, watch the head remain till the last drop as the imperfections in the bottom of the glass will bubble almost continuously. ( Try it you will be suprised )
Your current beer, even though a standard brew will still develop stronger flavour as it continues to mature.

We went camping/fishing/kids entertainment/food eating and beer tasting a couple of days ago.

Just two "Kato special" beers, in the esky,

The first beer was nice, yes the flavour is still developing, she agree's it is getting better.
Frankly I know it has enough alcohol as I could feel it, LOL, just 1 beer, not even "a glass and a half".

Then the next night under the stars after a full days fishing John the other father and I tried the second bottle
and he stated it was pretty good.
John is well travelled and apparently doesnt like commercial beer because it is too gassy, he said it has good flavours
and not too much bubble, but more like an English red ale, nice beer.

Well that was a compliment to Kato, she was asleep with the other kids at the time. ;)

Checked Miss 3yrs Stout Brew, its nearly bottling time, now I have to get some glass out of the cellar for that. LOL
She wont be sampling that lot. :)

Now my only issue is that the digger cashed in all my 750 ml bottles at the recycling station a while back, so I need to restock ...

Thanks Mate
We were down at Broadmeadows a couple of weeks back for the weekend of the 28 to 31st.
Never thought about doing any home brewing till after we got back.. :8
lol Life is like that sometimes hey :)
 the new avatar Op

Sipping on a Kato's brew right now, yep it has gone to my head already, really must calc the alcohol %.
Kato's beer is still developing, a little less bitter than even from last Wed, should peak soon.

Little Miss 3 came in from shopping and immediately asked the Wife where her (Miss 3's) brew was because it needed to be bottled.

She has an interesting mind for her age 3yrs 3mths.

But it may stay in the tub for a few more days while I fetch the bottles, certainly bottled by end of Easter.

One of the forum members had PM'd me and loaned us a couple of books, got them in the mail,
I wont say who, as it seems like a personal thing, and I dont remember him posting in this thread so far,
but it is a very generous thing and very much appreciated by us, he as we do likes the sharing community part of this Forum.

Thanks guys.
