The mod team downloads the sideways pics and uses microsoft paint or similar to rotate them back to the right angle. Members can do this themselves is they notice before the post editing time runs out.

Microsoft paint is in "windows accessories" in the windows start button in windows 10. And in "accessories" I think in previous versions. If you're using a Mac I wouldn't have a clue as I've never used an apple computer or device.
