Almost did not make it out today because of prior commitments, but snuck out this afternoon for a quick swing.
Got out to the field and the first storms in months rolled in,lightning, thunder and rain stopped me for around half an hour.
But once it cleared, a few coins presented themselves for inspection.
Also found a 3 x 2c coins spill,not shown.

Been a while between hunts,my 705 started playing up so had to send it away for a new keyboard.
All fixed now and this is the result of yesterday and today's hunts.

I think the square thing is a buckle, feels heavy like lead and has no makers mark on it.
Pennies are 1891,1912 1943,1952 and 1943 half.

After a slow start with the 3p and moving to the old sports ground I found 3 6d in a 2 meter area. Just shows you never find them all,I wish they would mow the grass though as it is getting pretty high after all the rain.
Will post a pic of the silvers after they are cleaned.

Glad the 705 was fixed under warranty, as I hear those keypads are pretty pricey to replace. The couple of older .925 silvers amongst that lot made the trip worthwhile, nice one. ;)
