Yes ktmman, straight to the silver, happens when you can sniff them out, then nothing more.
Nice silver score ya got ! 8)

Well, I thought I would brave the heat and go back to the honey hole for a last look.
Started with a few 1c and a 2c???
Then the silver popped up closely followed by the penny and 20c and $2
So far so average I thought. So hours after I got home I decided to clean the days finds, and that's when I realized the 2cent coin was
not a 2c,not by a long way.

Would I be correct in thinking this a Farthing? At 1828,this coin was minted over 70 years before the area this was found in was even
settled. Will be very hard to find an older coin around here I would think.Today was my late mothers birthday,so a bucket lister was a welcome find for me.

What a cracker ktmman, and the age of it too ,... and ya still managed a silver to boot ! 8) :p :p

Was pretty happy with that silver until I realized what the other coin was.
Looking online,it may be a 1823 Farthing as the 1828 does not have the date on the front, but a wreath instead.http://www.allcoinvalues.com/united-kingdom/1828-uk-farthing-value2c-george-iv.html

Love the older florin, bit of a rare sight on here these days. Great spot you've got to detect, I reckon there's plenty of life in it yet.

I've unearthed one of those florins a couple of years back, sadly it copped a scratch from my digger.  :/

I certainly hope so Goldpick, the grass is getting a bit long in spots now, but after today's effort I think low and slow wins the day.

I was going to like your post ,but there is nothing to like about you scratching your Florin, they always seem to pop out when you don't
expect them too :(
