A few hours with Rocket today. It was a lovely day for it and I thank Rocket for encouraging me to get off my butt. After night shifts I don't have much get up and go in me.
I ended up having a good hunt after our little discussion with an irate local.
I found pennies from four periods. A 1944 roo, 1915 commonwealth, 1901 "old head" Queen Victoria penny and a "young head" Victoria penny. I Can't see a date yet but it would be between 1838 and 1860. There is also a Britannia half penny I haven't dated yet and a 1920 sixpence in the silver side of the ledger.
Today's toy car is a schwimmwagen by playart.

Rocket let me buzz around him with the drone to practice.

Yeah that sux hey. One day though I was talking to lady who was walking her dog and the dog pee'd on my detector........ , lucky it was only the aldi one.

I think Rocket pulled a swifty on me today. I asked him to come out my way to detect cause I was too lazy to drive anywhere. After I'm in the car I get a message saying he's not coming. Hmmmm. Got me off my backside. Thanks Rocket

Only had a short hunt after flying my drone in circles. Another Rolls for the garage.

Had a short hunt this arvo. Going over old ground that keeps producing. Got my 3rd rising sun badge. All 3 I have are the small lapel size. Also got a silver watch cover, the 3rd from this site. Walked to a part of the site I haven't covered and got one penny then less than 2 metres away I dug 4 pennies together. The draw or door know was probably nice once with porcelain in the Centre. Only one silver in the 1914 sixer. The buckle was about 2 inches under the watch cover.

Rocket and I had a recovery job today. Looking for a footy player's "shock reader" which measures blows to the head. After searching over an hour the medic told me they had watched the footage and the guy ripped the tape off his head and tossed it aside. There is a fair chance the shock sensor went into the bin with the tape. DOH!

On the plus side we have a new permission. Tons of goldies to be had and I got a nice Royal Life Saving Socity badge.
