Rocket forced me to go detecting against my will today. We have a big hunt on tomorrow and I reckon he wants to wear me down so he can out shoot me.
I had hopes for this spot but just the one roo penny in the pre dec side. While I wandered around looking for the pre decimals Rocket found a nice shady patch of goldies and stuck to it.
Most of my schapnel came from the bark around the swings. Missing from the pic are a couple more 5 cents and a stud earing. Must be in the trash pile.

New camera/gopro....or new digger? I enjoyed the Garrett Digger repairs, done Jeremy Clarkson style with a hammer.

Sooner or later the blade will probably crack half way up, that's where my lesche failed after a fair amount of wear.

OH I have the Mankini. Just haven't had the opportunity to get any pics yet. The new toy may help there.

Out with the Rocket for a couple of hours yesterday. As soon as we arrived Rocket found his lovely 1927 half penny on the surface. The British 1913 sixpence is the first coin of this design that I have found. All older coins with no Roo pennies or others from later years.

On my way home I stopped to 'prove" a new site. With 1 roo penny and a half penny it's worth going back.
The badge is interesting. The latin motto "labor omnia vincit" means "work conquers all" I haven't worked out what the letters SMGH mean.
Also found a 1982 Honk Kong 10 cents.

Interesting the badge has the crown on it, looks quite official issue? Never seen one before though so no clue what it is.

I will give it a bit of a clean when I can. Not the best pics, took them at work last night with a torch for the light source.
