I used to think that also. Like GR was Government Railway but that is not correct. GR is George Regina for King George and VR is queen Victoria.
If you see a button with the GR and the roman numerals IV or V then it's George 4th or 5th respectively. We is being learned. :lol:

Went to Newy beach on my way to work. I saw on FB that a few central coast and Sydney boys were coming to rape of beaches so I thought I'd try get a few goodies first. Didn't get much in the hour or so I was there but met some other guys.

Yeah, and Silver is right...it has been a while between kings! And of course we don't speak latin much these days either thankfully.

I just pulled a 1932 penny out and it has "rex" on the back...just to make sure I haven't killed all my brain cells yet

Hi Ramjet,
Might have to find a new beach or two, don't know if this next lot of windy weather will give us some new beach real estate to swing over.
I've been home from the gold fields for a day and a half working about the place after the tree loppers had finished. Might give the 3030 a run tomorrow, run the brownie points down a bit, there are a couple of parks that might be worth a swing.
