Sorry to hear Rod, hope you haven't done any permanent damage. Might be restricted to using a light detector like the Deus with all that damage, or at least it's a good excuse.

Cat scan on my head all clear. Nothing showing on wrist x-ray but they put a back slab on to immobilize it. I'll go to the fracture clinic for another look at it.

Was nothing to do with my age but a lot to do with my stupidity. I was cutting down overhanging branches. What I failed to consider was the weight of the branch and the flexibility of wood. Had the ladder leaning on the upper side of the branch. When the cut off piece fell the part the ladder was leaning on became suddenly lighter and shot up above the top of the ladder. The ladder was now leaning only against the air. .. but not for long. :8 Should have used a. A frame ladder. I only have 4 :8

Rocket there was no BBs in my undies but I did fill them.

Well that was the one highlight of the 4 hours in emergency.
The health system may be a shambles but you cannot fault the staff. All lovely people and work long hard hours.

Thank goodness they didn't need to pin your wrists and ankles; it would have been game over for sure.

Hope the recovery is quick and Rocket doesn't get the chance to raid your '47 honey hole while you are layed up.

The unfortunate thing is I have broken that wrist twice before, (very active childhood), and it already gives me pain when detecting a lot. I guess it won't get a y less painful after this episode.
