Ha must be the day for finding singapore coinage, I checked the conversion rate for the 5c singapore coin i found today. And the 1 singapore dollar you have found is worth roughly 1 australian dollar :D

Nice your doing alright on the beach mate ;), that ring looks like a lost hammered piece from antiquity might have stumbled across something that will rewrite history :8

That's one fugly ring Ramjet, at least you managed to get one. Those sauce packets are pretty damned common, almost rate up there with condom packets and calipo foil lids. :D

Never ceases to amaze me at the number of people who deliberately bury there rubbish on the beach, or just drop their bottles cap around where they are sitting, plain laziness. :|

I had a sauce container leak through my finds bag the other day , I thought it was unused but the seal must have been broken.
I hope that sheila made it home safe and sound RJ ! :D

Had a mate in town for the day so I took him on a grand tour of all Rocket's honey holes and ended the day on Stockton beach. :D
Picked him up at 8 am, dropped him at the airport about 7pm. Huge day so this'll be short as I have to rest up so I can out shoot Rocket tomorrow.
Finds of the day for me are the 1945 victory medal and the 1873 penny. Another junk ring from the beach which must have been there a while as the sand is crusted on. Lots of thin copper plate on the beach and I assume it's off one of the dozens of shipwrecks about the place.
One of the spots Rocket and I have taken about 180 coins from but it gave up another 20 or so today. I believe he got more total coins than me. I'm old enough to be his dad is my excuse. ;)

I have a book on the history of shipping in Newcastle. It states 161 shipwrecks within 20 miles of Newy. Great book.
Stockton beach is a long C shape. The prevailing winds in most storms pushed the ships onto The Oyster bank which ripped the bottom out or onto the beach.

Nice Rod, cant get my head around finding stuff thats been hit hard

No place is ever "flogged out". It was very hot today so I stayed under the trees and went slowly over ground both Rocket and I have covered before. That's where I got the 1873 and the sixpence. Your coil only has to miss it by a couple of centre metres and you don't hear a thing.

Just some food for thought on the east coast we have a net movement of sand always heading north, for instance Fraser Island is made mostly from the weathering of Sydney sand stones, Fact learned that in my Marine science degree
