My you have been busy Rod, found some pretty good gear amognst all that junk. Must still be a fair bit of moisture in the ground over there, dry as a bone down south unfortunately.

One day you will find a site where all those bottle caps will prove to be coins, wouldn't that be a rippa of a hunt.

We have had some good soaking rain over a couple of days. I would dig down through 5-7 cm of damp soil then it was as dry and hard as if it hadn't rained all year.

Roger Ramjet rides again with the American Eagles...... well the best I could do was Rocket and Dave.
Another nice hunt though it was VERY wet and we all ended wet and covered in mud. Worth every minute too.
Commonwealth pennies are 1912, 22, 27, 33 and 1 I can't read. Commy hapennies 1927 and unreadable. plus 1 Britannia either 1903 or 08.

Dang RJ! Your smashing through some finds recently mate! Even a couple of the pennies are not that worn and oxidized! I tjink I used to have that car! In your previous finds ( mustve not seen that ) many cool household items or recreational items more to say..I love the matchbox tank

Thanks AR. Old Toy cars are one of my favourite things to find. Shame the tank wasn't whole.
Today's car is a 1970 porsche by Lesney... says so on the bottom.
