Beat me to it Wally! Great hunt Ramjet, pity it wasn't the 1947 Florin that copped the scratch. 8.( Still a good total of pre-decs, tasty looking spot. :)

8.( so sorry Silver 8.( maybe I should sell my gear. I'm not worthy.
Don't do that RJ,....I'm over it already,......it's you that's going to be looking at it all the time,......unless it becomes a comp prize, and I win it,...then I'd I be like looking at it all the time going (ohh boo),....until I forgot where it came from,...then I'd be blaming myself, thinking (oohnoo)why did I do that(all the bl%% time ! ) ;)

A couple of hours detecting with Rocket this morning before work. 4 little silvers with no scratches and a 1910 Britannia penny were the highlights. We did swap detectors for a short time. I got the half penny and a 1 cent before Rocket cried and wanted his swinelab back. :D

Very crusty coins and I haven't cleaned them yet.

Yes Jaros I will probably do that. Not ideal but it will keep it dry. My worry is getting out the moisture that is already inside it.

Use a hair dryer. Or put it in an oven on low heat, around 35-45 C. for around an hour or so.

What do ya do after a week of shift work, finishing at 8 this morning.... Go detecting. :D I checked out a spot I've been eyeing off for a while and I think I've found a little honey hole. ;) I timed myself and did an hour and 15minutes. I hit the first target within 2 metres of starting to swing the Pro. My first 4 targets in about 6 metres were a penny, silver ring, bottle top and florin. Being on a time limit I did my fast swing, covering a lot of ground in a short time. Definately worth going back. I just can't get away from the 1947 florins with 2 more today. The treasure to trash ratio was pleasing as well. A good, short hunt.
