I had to Google him as I hadn't heard of him at all before, and that's the song that came up,... Just found bad girls on U-tube, even the young fella liked it, he recons it's something different.
So are we any closer to working out what G.G.B. means at all RJ ?

I still say it's Girl Guides as it was found outside a Scouts/Guides hall.

A few more hours behind the coil today. A different area of the park and the results show I'm in the right spot. The highlight was my first silver of the year. A pretty tidy '54 florin. Happy with that. Also got a mini coin spill. $1, 20c, 10c and 5c in one hole. The Scorpio pendant isn't silver. First find of the day was Mr Michelin, just laying on the ground. 2nd find was a penny under a bloody tree root. took ages to get it out. I had the video running again and I'll post some when I've done a bit of editing. Also had on a pair of glasses with a camera built in but the headphones kept moving them about so I put them in my pocket after half hour or so. When the market for old padlocks goes up I'm gonna be rich. Getting a bit of a collection. Another lesson, always wear gloves and be careful of glass.

A very tidy florin indeed, also well done on the other pre-decs, should have got that dig on video.

Something about the florins that makes you giggle like a teenager when you find one, they are not the easiest coins to locate, making it all the more worthwhile.

Thanks guys. It's all on video. I just have to go through the several hours of video from 2 cameras to find the highlights. Probably the best condition of any silver I have found.

Thanks people. Just checking dates and beat my oldest coin by 1 year again. A 1915 penny. Closing in on 1900 1 year at I time.

Nah. Nearly 3 hours to sort though plus I've been cooking tea and cleaning up. Took me 3/4 hour just to find the bit with the florin dig.

That 54 has some beautiful detail RJ, ridge on emus back is good, and the crown is perfect as well, no scuff marks anywhere at all, perfect dig on that one,.... Makes me want to get out there and look.

Thanks Silver. She is a beauty. Must have been lost soon after it was minted. I had already scratched 2 pennies that day so I was being extra careful. Gotta remember to slow down, take my time.

Another arvo shift, another night hunt. Was happy to find the three pence as I only have a couple. The sixpence was the last find just near my car. The ring is copper and the buckle was from the day before when I was with Rocketroo. Not a bad night.
