When i was about 15-16 years old (many decades ago) my mates and i used to be allowed into the social club at the MCG. I remember one session having so many Bundys and cokes (21i was told later) that i slept the night out on the grass in the MCG carpark. Since that day, just the small of Bundy rum makes me want to vomit :lol: :lol:
Now, a couple of good whiskys on ice and a few stubbies sees me headed off to bed :lol: :lol: :lol:
Funny how when you're young its all about volume and as you get older (wiser?) it's about quality.
I do fancy that Galway pipe Goldtruck, it's nectar of the gods i reckon.

That's funny, I've done the same with Rum and to this day can still get on it but have issues with whisky having done the "drink a whole bottle" and die thing .

Your on the money with volume and quality, I suppose it's the young bull, old bull in us all.

Tried another Bundy and coke the other day just to see how i went and managed to get through one can before the smell got to me Filthy. It felt like drink 'one' can and die :lol: :lol: Love my Glenmorangie whisky though, smoooooooth as.
Wouldn't mind going back and having another go at my earlier years with hindsight, that'd be interesting.

Hey Meta I agree, have you tried the Coopers Extra Strong Vintage Ale? It's almost too good.....

No mate havent tried that one, but it sounds the go.

Red wine is my favorite drink these days, but I only drink good ones. Inner Circle green dot (57%) is my favorite spirit, but some will remember my performance at the last Tuena get together, where I was pouring it in the dark after a bottle of red. No ill effects until I stood up. Then it was a a comedy act!

Hellyers Road Distillery in Tassie makes the best cream Whiskies I have ever tasted, the only problems are they are morish & the bottles seem to empty very quickly.
As an alternative, the only things to add to Johnny Walker are ice & more Johnny Walker!

Sitting around a winter campfire in the Outback with your mates, a few embers under your chair & a few more behind it, a packet of crisps & whatever tipple you like!

Not too many embers though cause, they can get just a little too warm if you overdo it & some hair should not get singed!
