Not bad still though. I only use headphones at the beach, I generally hate the things. CTX has quite loud good audio from the onboard speaker.

Well I always use them gold detecing but not treasure detecting.

Just that I am used to the backphones, tried RJs ws5s but the signals sounded different. It really threw me off. Or maybe I am too precious lol

Get a set of backup FX-2 backphones and throw them in your kit. A cheap and effective option should you forget to charge things up, or leave your main backphones behind.
