Nice diggin Rocket. Interesting object. In the last pic it looks like it fits onto a pipe or something round. Both ends the same?

yep, a fence decoration? but why brass? horse tack....buts its heavy, door knocker....possibly?

Will be a 1930 next time Rocket, I'm sure of it (well sort of). :p You guys sure come up with some strange relics in Newcastle, is it a handle off a chest of draws or similar, just with the side arms missing?? :)

Hunted a historic area today with RJ and Jacob, not zoned historic...bloody bypass going straight through it next year. No silver for me, but it was a change to detect bushland :) The large coil on the deus struggled in the long grass, but you use what you got!
The brown coin-looking thing maybe a token...its toasted, but I can see a 5 stamped into it.

Funny where you find foreign coins at times, though fitting that the Deus picked up a French 20 centimes. ;) Are you sure the "token" isn't some sort of flattened button, bit hard to tell I suppose from its condition. Hopefully when the small elliptical coil comes out it will be more suited to working around tufts of grass, it will certainly be on my to buy list. :)

Interesting little hunt, the 5 thingy, looks like an ankh sideways to the left of whats more than likely not a 5, and further left looks like part of a H (maybe). :)

Group hunt today, always good to meet some new faces. Shame my token is so rotted, it does have a reeded edge of sorts, but its lost its artwork. Nice to get silver, the jewellery is junk, and one penny is an 1861...I think. One of those small coppers is an old wheat penny from america....I forgot about that, better go clean it.
