Lift weights.. the squat, the deadlift and the bench press will make a man of anyone. 12 months of that is like tossing a domesticated pig back out into the wild, you will become feral, stronk, and grow thick hair and tusks. Don't drink either, it poisons everything it touches. If you eat too much and lift, well, you'll just end up with more muscle and burn more of that fat, if you don't eat enough, well, the lifting will fuel your hunger and make you eat more and gain weight.

TLDR - lift weights, get stronk.
 
Never lifted weights, and not going to start now either!
Swim for an hour on my days off and walk an hour and a half when I can, detecting steep country in 38 deg and high humidity with a pack full of water plus a battery, spare coil , rake and pick helps to.

Yep, Cazalla,

I've been lifting for 5 years now, and it has done me a lot of good. I stick to the big compound lifts, and am pretty strong for a 58 year old, but I don't lift quite as big as I did two years ago, when I used to deadlift 150kg.
