That's a good hunt and a great total so far. It's great you are getting results every time out :D

It is great but alas it must end soon i thinks 8.(

We have had a slow down but today's hunt proves there are still great, untouched places out there. :/

I dream of you and the guys places, i think thinking outside the box works, some of the places i find coins i just cant figure out how they got there

We're all out there having a go Havinago
And maybe ... Just maybe, oneday, we will all find ourselves a holy grail item
But regardless of the finds each outing ....
We're enjoying our time and keeping active

Congrats on the silver ring Havingago!

Coins are always there if you look hard enough. If desperate, it only takes a few visits to a some tot lots to keep the coins flowing, should call them coin catchers. ;)

Ka ching Ka ching Ka ching, WOW what a day! Was talking to the outlaw about a particular park that has and does hold some major events around town, with one of those events happening last week, so I decided too take a look last week to see what the go was, I saw some tents erected that must of been to my reckoning food and beverage tents that were being dismantled and thought to myself Ill give it ago next week being today. Well I thought a $19 day was good but the 4hrs today just took the cake with a $33 and 10c day being a blast, here I am yesterday thinking I bet you I have jinxed myself saying that everyday I swing with the nokta produces coin and thinking I will eat my words, but NO I am blessed with a very outstanding outing.

Guys not being biased but a good (really good) detector really has its advantages when you learn the tones and the sharpness it produces and I must say that if it wasnt for the nokta being so sharp I probably would of missed half of what I scored, now for someone that is new to this endeavour it aint me swinging the thing but the thing telling me whats going on that makes the world of difference, to quote a well respected comrade just turn on and swing (it works Bloody good).

Go team NOKTA going to be hard pressed to try anything else  Over $160 bucks now :D

Gday all, just wanted to share this, spent yesterday cleaning the $165 in grubby gold coins Ive found so the wife could take them to the bank. Upon entering the bank the counter clerk proceeded to tell my wife that they cant weigh the coins but need to count them, upon counting the coins the teller noticed the few badly damaged ones and asked where she got them from where my wife explained that I had found them detecting, they were in utter fascination, with everyone including the bank manager getting in on the story. The bank manager explained that the badly damaged ones get returned to the mint but they are still legal tender, they then proceeded to hand my wife a ***** load of plastic money bags for my future finds (talk about putting the pressure on to produce and being overly optimistic) .

Anyway with my findings I purchased a Nokta Pinpointer from Central West Prospecting supplies and it arrived today in the mail after only 2 and a half days and I cant wait to use it. I can see it being a very useful bit of kit especially for night hunts. Thanks guys at Central West Prospecting supplies the 2 times I have dealt with you has been a real pleasure and I highly recommend you and your service  .
Cheers Havinago

I took $800 to 1 bank and the teller refused to accept them, then the manager came out and made a big fuss about them too. Goes to show different people behave very differently under similar circumstances.

Glad you cashed them no worries. I just use the auto counting machines now. :D

I use them at coles, put them through the selfserve, and bash the bent ones flat, give them to the checkout chicks.

Could always throw em through the pokies too for a bit of cleaning/laundry   returns might be a bummer

Heatho, I wouldnt like counting $800 in coins    , would of weighed a tonne

Yeah was 1/2 an icecream container full, Wally69 gave me a cloth bank bag to use as a stealth method, but...... the machine got jammed and well when the girl opened it up to get the rest through I was a bit embarassed at all the cruddy coins lol. Got $800 so that's all that mattered, hmmm got anoth $1000 to cash in this week from the last several months swinging. They can add up quick.
