Thanks guys, yeah im happy with the opening account, I got a 830 silver horse shoe charm too but the wife snavelled it so i couldnt get a photo (hidden somewhere), i looked it up on google worth $30 apparently. If i can keep it up I should have a pretty good tally by the end of the year going off what i found since i started detecting a few months back, still haven't had a session where i haven't found coins so the nokta is doing what its supposed too

Gday Swingers, went for a really quick swing Tuesday arvo just before a storm down at the beach was only there about 30-45min, while detecting I got the headphone chord hooked up and it pulled apart the audio jack plug, so with the storm and the stupid headphone chord I called it quites with $3.20, a charm and a few sinkers.

Today I decided to go wireless and after reading some old posts with no real great reviews I decided Id chance it and try and set up a wireless device. I purchased a Digitech AA-2085 Bluetooth audio dongle for $60 and Digitech AA-2124 Bluetooth Headset for $80 from jaycar.

After some initial air testing in the house I have found that there is no lag what so ever and no interference so I think I may have succeeded but field tests will be the real decider.

Will test maybe tonight or when it cools down a bit and post my in the field findings asap.

The photo is deceiving. The website states its silver and silver beads, so they must have had a dull yellow globe for lighting. Hit the spot again and find that chain

Will do mate initial in house test looks very promising, The headset supposedly has 8hrs playback at full volume, and the dongle has up to 10hrs on transmission mode

It has an in built microphone so can be used with Mobile and a FM radio that stores all the channels

Bonus I have 7 days from today to test it thoroughly and if it isn't up to the task i can take it back for a full refund, as I explained to the sales person what it was going to be used for and i can't have any lag or interference

Looks like a great setup, once you go wireless you will wonder why the heck you hadn't done it sooner, sure beats corded phones and busted cable strains all the time.

G'day crew, so the verdict is out, I went for a swing to try out the new wireless set up and it didn't miss a beat, worked an area about 50m x 4m for about 2.5 maybe 3 hours (may have been slightly bigger) before 200 people arrived to play on the field, had a remark that the club wanted 20% of what if found :lol:, anyway the wireless set up was undeniably great maybe a millisec of lag but that depends on how fast you swing and how you finalize the target, my 3/4 plugs were 70mm x 70mm max and my targets were right in the centre every time. I still don't know what the actual run time is and will probably never now as i recharge before every hunt so as not to be disappointed

Gday swingers, went for a swing in the park for about 4.5hrs and gave the new wireless headphones a real work out and I think they are great, I think they are actually better sounding than the wired ones that come with the nokta, they seem to have better sound distinction.

Any way got $29 and 2x1c and a penny that I have soaking in olive oil to see what the date is, it isnt really old but its crusty.
