Weighty chunk of brass possibly a drawer handle?

A fellow detectorist Andrew aka 'thecoffeebushkid' saw my post on Instagram, and asked if the tongue fit the other outer ring buckle..it DID! I wasn't aware I had found a complete buckle from the gold rush days! Legend.

Apparently so mackka all the way from murica!! Someone obviously brought it over with them..
This design is seen on mid/late 1800s NewYork state militia buttons and buckles

Big old silver which has yet to be identified..
Had two suggestions - a Morgan Dollar
- UK half crown
It's only got 2 letters that I can read..U and M
