This is the only time shes come unstuck... i didnt know i had blown a hub mate so headed up this hill and nearly flipped her. Scary .....

Wow Golddig thats a wicked picture none the less

I will Doug I'll stay patient and hopefully can find a trommel to work this material easier I would just run it straight to the Highbanker with a little runway from the trommel unless it has a built in sluice, my mate has one but it takes more motivation to get him started than anything else and apparently the trommel has some gremlins and there just so pricey I need a good way to wet and wash the dirt before I put it in otherwise the whoe effort will be pointless I ran so much material today for less than I got the other day and I know with gold, some days you do, some days you don't it's all about finding the right layer in the material in working persistence Is key and well I guess in time equipment will come too

There's just so many things I need to do

That's a pretty amazing pic there GD, bet the old cloacker valve was puckering up on that one.

Next1m8, sounds like you have yourself a dilemma most people on here would want...I know I do
I think Doug said it in an earlier post but you have to start small, find the colour so you can afford the next step up in equipment so then you can find more colour again to buy even better equipment. Sooner you will have the funds together to buy a ripper of a trommel.

Good luck with it, look forward to seeing some pics of the clean-ups that's for sure

Just use a cement mixer, tip it into a bucket after 20 min or so of mixing them pump it through your banker

I have to say I agree with you mate. I need to find a cheap one

Bunnings had a small one on sale, wont break the budget
and probably perfect to fill 2 buckets,
refill, run buckets, come back repeat lol

Um yep had to grab take my passengers belt off and drag him onto my chest before we flipped. .. was petering. That picture is with a tree holding the car from flipping. Amazing what a blown hub can do to your line when the wheels are spinning. Still the old girl has never let me down.

Gey next1m8 can you show us some photos of the material you are running and i might be able to offer some advice.

Just in that quick flick it indeed does not look like it has been disturbed.
What about the foreground just below the bank. Scoop up the loose friable stuff to hard dirt and run that through.
If a lot of color shows up, definitely worth going for.
Go For It. :D

The only problem is I think when I Highbanker it that it could piss of with my gold, the clay that is, it's rather annoying I need a good way to seperate the two.. There is plenty of hardpack to dig.

I just need help washing it first

I'm going to clean it all up from bottom to top, I'm just a little worried I mean I've gotten good colour but when I put the river sluice under it I've not seen anything but what if the clay has taken it over the end doug

What's your advice gD

It's certainly a bench deposit so I'm free to level the whole thing, and I will its just going to take time once I've created a level floor I'll lay tarps down and start working top to bottom and create and even face to work from

Ok so we have a massive blue bowl type setup, that I'm going to use as a clay breaker and feed hopper just so it loosens the clay of small gold, before feeding that I'm going to use the big white tubs with a power drill, paint mixer and natural gypsum to break up clay before adding it to the big bowl

This will give it slightly extra time to wash the rocks clean and disperse clay before it hits the slick plate of my sluice

I think I fed it too fast with to much last time and probably lost more gold than I'm prepared to know about
