If you work in an air conditioned and controlled environment with others, or live in one, get the ***.
If like me spend your time outdoors, wear shorts all year, and never use your heater in your car etc, don't.

Hiya Redfin (my favouritist fresh water fish ever, very tasty)
Wadya mean about wearing shorts all year and not using heater in the car?
Thanks

I have worked in the Air-con industry for 30yrs... We always got sick doing Re-ferbs or having to change something after the system has been going for a while...

LW....

It has been pretty well proven that getting the *** is in everybody's favour. If you don't have the ***, stay at home and have your food home delivered for the contagious period and don't mix socially. I think it is irresponsible not to have the ***.
Jaros

We had the swiiiine flu ***.... cause humans and pigs are pretty much the same geneically speaking (and culturally at low times) but humans had no natural immunity experience with it what so ever..... just incase there was some sort of zombie pig thing gunna happen

Ask your doctor, the medical profession are far from unanimous on the subject. My doctor is about 60 and deals with people with flu symptoms daily, he will not get the ***. He is happy to prescribe it but says the jury is still out about its effectiveness.
The pharmaceutical companies spend millions of dollars trying to convince governments and the public that flu jabs are necessary for the old and frail, they then stand to make billions. Ask independent medical professionals for their opinion before you make a decision based on pharmaceutical company or government advice.

I don't see how it is irresponsible trying to avoid getting sick, I live my life for me, I don't wanna be sick, I don't wanna get sick, and I avoid people who go out to public places Coughing and Spitting all over the place Spreading their Germs without a single thought for others, Coughing and blowing their nose and then handling things that they know other members of the Public are going to come in contact with without washing their hands,

People get sick and I avoid them at all cost that's why I have not been sick, That's not irresponsible that's being Proactive by not helping to spread Germs. Quite a few people here have already said that when they get the *** they end up getting sick, and by not having the *** they do not get sick, So by not having the *** they are not spreading the Germs around to the people they come in contact with, I would call that being responsible.

It's a personal choice ...If you got YOUR *** why would you give to ***** whether other people did or didn't...Your ok aren't you....So many people force their beliefs onto others :N: I'm Mates with a GP who says she will never get the ***....Again it's a PERSONAL CHOICE... :Y:

Geeze Mate you wanna Avoid that *** like the plague, The side effects of Swiiine Flu are terrible,

At certain times of the year you will want to go Truffle Hunting instead of Prospecting,

And the smell of a BBQ brings you out in cold sweats and brings on Panic Attacks and the urge to eat fried eggs.

and you can't go anywhere without squealing round corners,

Stay safe out there mate,

The flu *** is only going to ( HELP) protect you from the strains present in the vaccine..If you think you wont get any of the hundred other flus or sicknesses you are misguided. :Y:
Good luck to you all over the flu season....Apparently that's every day of the year now :N:

Your Spot On.

There was a time that Flu was a winter event/virus, Now because world travel Flu has become an everyday thing, back in the late 70's you had to have 2 or 3 Jabs to go be allowed in Australia and many other countries but nower days all that has stopped and people are coming in to Airports coughing and sneezing and on long haul flights at night you can hear them coughing their guts up and that gets recycled around the Planes Air Con. Over here we see just about every version of Flu there is, but the vaccine jabs need to be bought back In because many poorer countries these viruses are rife.

My experience has been one where up until 2006 I'd had 4 battles with cancer over a 10 year period, after my last bout of radio in 06 I was advised I'd need to have a flu *** every year as my immune system was shot, well 12 years on and I still haven't had a flu shot, I usually get a good common cold once a year for 3-5 days and that's it, lucky if I miss one days work on the worst day.
I put it down to not always washing my hands before eating, rarely actually and I might have been baiting fishing hooks, digging in dirt or have grease on them from work and who knows what else, I usually wipe my hands on my pants and if the hands look ok then I tuck in and eat sandwiches etc.
Works for me and seems to be a natural immune system re-builder ;)

My wife on the other hand gets the flu *** every year and without fail is crook as a dog for 6-10 days not long after, I still sleep next to her at night even with her sneezing, coughing and sweating all night, it frustrates her that I don't catch it off her

Probably just mozzed myself now though

Like the way you think pete. I do think growing up in the country has been quite beneficial to my immune system. Had one proper flu in 25 years. (Plenty of man flu though). Used to get exposed to all kind of pathogens which I think has helped build immunity. Our tank water is probably the best imune builder you can get. I think our society nowadays puts way to much emphasis on cleaning products which has probably attributed to rising rates of asthma and food allergys.
