It's nuts even to consider time served, the guy has been lying and evasive from day one and still is as to what happened to Allison. His sentence should be on the upper end of the scale because of that in my book.

The biggest problem is the courts are in cohoots with the government. Apparantly back in the early 80's the high court agreed to silently ignore the passing of laws to criminalise people for a plethora of non-criminal, but very profitable offences. So from that point their morality and sense of justice was shot to s*%t. Penal-capitalism. Between that and adopting the litigeous bastardry of the Seppos and the cotton-wool mob, someone who refuses to pay an unfair parking fine will do more time than a repeat violent offender. And if anyone who can afford it fights a case and wins they can sue the pants off the government(OUR money).
The justice system has long ago been bought out by the corporate/capitalist puppet politicians and the lawyers. And they are the criminals we should be jailing first.

The whole aspect of this is a sad one, the saddest part is three young children now live their lives without their mother and on all of the legal determinations their mother's life was taken by their father.
