Yes I posed a question with Robe as the answer last year. Seems to be cyclic as I was told the same thing from the previous year !!
Its hard to constantly find new material I reckon. As the core group of players change I suppose it doesn't matter. :)
GT

Probably been covered as well.
Who am I
I was arrested for hose stealing and sentenced to death. After spending months in a men only prison it was discovered that I was woman.

OH I know this... but I don't remember the details.

I thought it would have been covered, getting to the point where it is harder to find a question than an answer.

Yep, it was Merle Thornton and her friend Rosalie Bognor, and they chained themselves to the public bar of the Regatta Pub in Brisbane in 1965.

Reckon that may have been it. Good to see this thread become active again. But having had a look back at the last page, I reckon the question is still with Magilla.

In relation to that question, there were two female convicts arrested for horse stealing in England while in male clothes, and subsequently transported. Mary Reibey and Margaret Catchpole. Reckon one of them may have been he answer to Magilla's question.

Im sure you are right DR your go if you like or i will post one

Yes it was Mary Reibey, I missed the Dr's reply and thought this thread had died.

An easy one to kick this tread off again. For the benefit of new members, you have to answer the question before you get to post a new one. The two big challenges are to phrase the question so that it is reasonably google proof, and to pick something we have not previously covered, which is pretty hard, given we are up to 199 pages, nearly 5,000 replies, and more than 430,000 views.

I was introduced in most places in the 1970's, but have a longer history than that. As usual, if no one gets it (not likely in this company) clues will be forthcoming.

Microwave Oven.?
.
Microwave RF goes back to the 2nd World war when the Poms radar went up in frequency confusing the Germans for quite awhile.
It's main use today was found with an accidental melting of a chocolate bar.
