No Duck but I was the chairman of the West Australian mine owners association even though I was from another neighbouring state in the 1890's.

Dorham Lonford Doolette :Chairman of the Western Australian Mine Owners' Association and of several companies, including the Great Boulder Proprietary Gold Mines Ltd and Oroya Brown Hill Co. Ltd, and director of the Sons of Gwalia Ltd
Thanks Google

Sorry Jaros You are incorrect but very close. Perhaps re read your info and my questions !!!! For others, my first employees of the new syndicate were Pearce and Brookman.

Sir George Brookman KBE (15 April 1840 20 June 1927) was a South Australian businessman who made a fortune from a gold discovery in Western Australia, and is remembered as a generous benefactor of the South Australian School of Mines and Industries and the University of Adelaide.

Sorry Tathradj not correct. Brookman as per my last clue was our first employee of our soon to be famous syndicate..

Another clue
I spent much of my time raising capital in London

sorry Jaros you were closer before. Read the first clues where the answer lies.

Another Clue
I was a sponsor of Mawson expedition and have a bay named after me in Antarctica.

Sir Macpherson Robertson KBE (6 September 1859 20 August 1945) was an Australian philanthropist, entrepreneur and founder of confectionery company MacRobertson's.

No cigar Tathradj,

Another clue

I was Knighted for "Services to Western Australian Goldfields" in 1916.

Good show Mr Duck,

I didn't think anyone would pick up on the dates from earlier clues. Jaros had his son Dorham nailed who was also a mining entrepreneur like his dad but he wasn't born until 1872!!
The biography most found on google,

http://adb.anu.edu.au/biography/doolette-dorham-longford-6345 ,

was a dual entry which confused some on son and father, Careful reading solved the issue.

George Philip Doolette sent Pearce and Brookman to WA and they pegged the Great Boulder group of mines on the golden mile. This was done under the guise of the Adelaide Prospecting Co whom later became the Coolgardie Gold Mining and Prospecting Co. (W.A.) Ltd.

Well done over to you Duck. :)

This ones got the brain ticking.

Perhaps he is talking about the massacre and or genocide of Tasmanian Aboriginals. Who he is referring to and to what he was inferring that, that person had incited, leads me to say Henry Melville.
Melville was arrested by Arthur for inciting reprisals against the aboriginals by printing libellous stories about them which led to the killing of many. He was the editor of a newspaper in Hobart.
