Great Australian (well he was born in England) invention by the sound of it Pr2cv.

What did (still do) the Aboriginals call the ellusive creature known as the Yowie?
Bonus points: the Aboriginal people speak of two types, a very small creature and a very large one. Give the names for each.

Yowie is one of several names given to a mythical hominid reputed to live in the Australian wilderness. The creature has its roots in Aboriginal mythology. In parts of Queensland, they are known as quinkin (or as a type of quinkin), and as joogabinna, in parts of New South Wales they are called jurrawarra, myngawin, puttikan, gubba, doolaga, gulaga and thoolagal. Other names include yahoo, yaroma, noocoonah, wawee, pangkarlangu, jimbra and tjangara.

Hmm there's a few of the answers in there RamJet but i'd like the names for the giant and little man.

Common name for the creature is Doolagharl.

The Yara-ma-yha-who is a creature from Australian Aboriginal folklore. This creature resembles a little red man with a very big head and large mouth with no teeth

And

'Jogungs', who stood twice the height of a normal human

Obviously a lot of different names depending on location.
Junjadee is the little hairy person
Quinkin is the big guy.

Give it to Ramjet as he had most of the answers ;)

In the early days of settlement in Australia there was not enough money.
How was this problem solved?

There still isn't!,
