Cheers for the input rocketaroo + Heatho :D
I just realised today..my front camera is not bluury and wrecked so I can sort of take photos still but with some quality!

Did I find 3 wheels from a car? There seems to be a thread on the shaft bit though so possibly from a wooden thing too

I didn't find anything underwater in the river again. Theres a real art to river fossicking. Plenty of glass in there..if only the public could see that.Baby cray swarms around again today making me hungry. Had no drink the whole day and being underwater for an hour gave me a real dry mouth which called the day at the end. 4 hours detecting, 1 hour underwater

Above the deadlock in the photos imay be an old army badge too but the feont has fallen off. Had a pin on the back

Went for a swing at the same place as above posts with Mrs.AtomRat today, also another great day to snorkell underwater. I started by detecting where I last finished and got a bit of trash with some bits of brass between. First hour was looling a bit bland and while I was doing this, the Mrs was pulling finds out the creek using my handmade pvc scope! I got jealous and dove in wearing mask n breather but had no luck apart from broken glass and blue crays again. Oh sorry..I found a rusted rim from an old car . Was getting close to picking up daughter from last dat of school around 1pm so I had another quick swing and within a 30cm x 30cm patch I found 4 coins. 1943 three pence, 1926 half penny, singapore 10cents1967 and an American one cent with Abrahams head which is a find I've been wanting since I've started. I've always wanted a dime or something with Lincoln or Washington on it, so I gotta be happy with that :D

On the way home to pick up other daughter from nannys, I showed her my finds and she pulled out her tin of coins, throwing a couple my way as pictured below :)

I think my coins are clean 8) - thankfully I had removed the good ones early and these are only 1c and 2c. Pretty cool copper + salt cystrals though!

Hasn't Mrs AR got her eye in  on the finds(or what) :D , like the coins too(both bought and found),... good to see you are on the PDs too, and aint that a killer cleaning mix(ha). :D

Nice finds, That statue is pretty cool, do you use your detector in the creek? What is that cleaning mixture you use was there any coin left?

I've used Goldpicks waterproof coils by river waters edge once. As the units not submrrsiable..its not worth that risk, but would love to get something like at pro one day. Vinegar saturated with salt is the cleaner i used here but it does have cautions. Just like anything :) I think the salt left behind after its dissolved is cupric acid. Thanks again guys :D

You can see how shallow the old ones(coinmaster) were going hey, and if their batteries were getting low then they were just pulling stuff from under the immediate surface only,....you scored well AR, a gold ring would have been yours had it only been in the ground under the coil, going from the looks of your rubbish finds,... nice tally of coins starting to happen for you now as well,.... can't wait to see you cruise over a honey hole full of coins(gunna happen soon now I recon). ;) :D

Bit of a hectic day dropping off mum and then picking up mum plus nan afterwards.. while I waited for them on the trains, headed over another area to say gday but didn't have the chance to meet this time..next time will be rite :D Grabbed these at 2 totts. Still a very promising area. By the way Numpty - today certainly prooves no one has ever detected where I was. I saw a suspicious pile of bottletops at the base of a tree..but hooefully it wasn't from detecting. Most were clean and not rusted caps. Always a great sign mate :D

I think this was $18-$19 no old coins..all modern

Interesting finds were the blueish shrimp mabey plated shrimp with little probably fake rocks.. a mood ring.. a belly button ring ( ewww.. from the playground this was under, I could tell it would have hurt when it came out )...an ear clip..finger.

good day out mate, we gotta hit the ground where the old school was, went last night but only for half hour.

ya got some gas money anyway, bit of luck there's more there to be had :)

Hahaha I pick up odd items just for my own amusement I think on digs. Oh I forgot to say..these parks were horridly littered with fresh broken glass. Everywhere. And people had thier kids playing in it! I know some say we're tough out here..but seriously! I picked up what I could as the parents didn't...w.t.f....

My knees are starting to lock...oh well. I've got two.

yep plenty of glass around, the glass and crap i found last night filled my pocket so i'll be taking a bag to put the kilo of rubbish in next time.

On the up and up there still AR,... good going, but don't give the finger to any passers by(ha). :D
