Looks to me wally ,that each time you go out the pieces keep getting bigger.
Love the look of them bits...

Went out for a few hours this arvo and got three little bits. Might have to rename the gpx 4500 to SDC 4500. Not a great pic but you get the idea.

Honestly couldn't tell ya scrounger. Two of them woulda been 3-4 inches roughly. The other one wasn't very deep. However I got a bit that was definitely less than .1 when I went out with Keano on Sunday. Must have been 5-6 inches. We were both amazed.
Here's my collection to date with the SDC 4500.

That's what I was thinking, all the way home I was beaming with the thought that I had beaten my personal best twice on this trip. I am glad my trick photography has you thinking the same. ;)

Funny how they always look bigger than they really are when they come out of the ground and a set of scales deflates the ego as quickly as the Mrs saying 'is that all'. :8

Next time............

Hey Scrounger,

That one Walshie's talking about from Sunday was at least 5-6 inches down. Not that I've been in the game long, I believe I have done enough research to know that the 4500 should be struggling on that size at that depth. There was another at a similar depth that we ran the SDC over prior to digging and I would say the signal was every bit as good of the 4500 as the SDC. Walshie's got it dialed in, that's for sure.

Cheers Keano.
It would be great to have both scrounger. Once targets get to a certain size the gpx is going to get the depth. And the option of big coils for ground coverage and depth is perfect for patch hunting. I'd love to have an sdc as well however the 8" is getting the small stuff pretty good for me.
