Well done. Did you see that someone else has been doing well in the Talbot area over Easter.

Is this private property or State Forest?

Rob.

Thanks for sharing Wooly.

As a professional prospector recently told me. No one gets all of the gold. He even
told me I can go over some good ground and pick up nuggets and go back to the
same spot and find more.

There are simply too many variables which includes weather, detector settings,
coil types one uses and how they use the detector.

Talbot is known for large gold pieces. I know of one bloke that travels from QLD
just to prospect in Talbot and have seen a youtube video where areas around Talbot
have been prospected with the large nugget finds.

Very nice nugget. Thanks for sharing Pablo.

Can even be down to the angle the Gold is sitting and the direction you detect from. Even rain removing 2 or 3mm of topsoil can make a difference as to whether a nug is detectable or not. Though most patches will have diminishing returns each time Gold is found. Though I agree, no one gets it all.

Nice work RS, amazing finding those bits that don't register, minelab really nailed it with the SDC.

Steveo that is excellent work mate and very nice looking extra Yellow Gold. Would love to do a trip out there with you and Matt, would be great, love that type of country too, the photos of the landscape you took are spectacular.

Bloody nice lump Redfin, what depth was that?

Nice to see some good results coming through regardless of how small.
You guys are making it harder for me to get the jobs done I'm supposed to be doing so I'm thinking of putting in for the 3 days owing at work before too long and have a red hot crack at finding my first picker.

Smallest did not even register on the scales!

Nice finds, maybe try and put a larger nugget or some other weight on the scales first and then put the little one on there. It's happened to me before as well but after doing that I was able to get a reading :)

oh bugger it was my wife's birthday on Saturday when we found these and she said we were going to find the big one for her birthday, Perhaps we should have stayed longer as I'm sure she would have been more than happy with the one in your link.

We found ours in state forest.

I agree Wolfau....I have been back to some of my spots several times and found gold that I missed on other occasions. Especially those tiny ones which you only need to swing over them from the wrong direction to miss them.

I'm experiencing exactly the same thing wooly. It can be the faintest signal and you miss it because of wind or the wrong angle of approach or whatever. I've gone back over ground a week later from where i've been finding small stuff and finding more within a metre of where i got a spec previuosly. I'm also finding i'm getting better/clearer signals in the calm of the afternoon.
