⭐ Gold Detecting Show'n Tell

I dont know whats going on with this rock business but i found some more today, one was visible and the other was encased in what looks like sandstone mixed with quartz.

This one you couldn't see it but when i cracked it open i was a bit shocked how big it was.

This was the total for the day... It was the best day i've had prospecting because i managed to get my 12 year old son of his XBOX to come out detecting and it was the 1st time we have found gold together

Am definitely on my recovery countdown now. Just 4 more weeks laid up - wait, make that 3 - naw 2 weeks tops! My knee is all of a sudden feeling healed - even seeing gold is better than going to the physios! Thanks for my recovery SC75 :lol:

You must be wrapped; and to have your son along would have made it extra special.
I'm hoping to get my 19 yr old son away from his girl friend next weekend so we can go detecting. Xbox to a 10 yr old is no doubt just as much an attraction as a girl friend to a 19 yr old. If I could only promise him gold like you found. I know that would sway him. We won't tell his girl friend that. lol
Glad you had a great father son trip, and found good gold. It is a day you'll remember for life.

Haha yeah Xbox and girlfriends. Your son might want to bring his girlfriend along Dignit, it's hard to separate 2 love birds and yeah I will never forget it mate, now my 8 year old daughter what's to start coming out. Santa might have to bring 2 detectors this Christmas haha.

Nice stuff Dam It. I only managed 3 small ones for the weekend.

Think I am going to go back to ground I am familiar with instead of looking for new areas all the time. This gold prospecting can be very frustrating at times.

SteelPat, we're all doing that mate. I love looking for a new super patch, but am mostly disappointed and frustrated, so occasionally have to return to a tried and true (particularly after seeing the gold pulled recently ). My next trip out will again be to new horizons, but I fully expect to return via Dunolly for the last dig of the weekend to avoid coming back without rattlers in my pocket.

Thanks mate. I gave up on my old hunting hole because I couldn't find nothing after the 14oz I found.I've been going there for a full year every weekend .I thought there might have been a bigger one hiding in there somewhere but I couldn't find it, so I just moved on plus I'm having a good time finding gold more regularly.
