Ok heatho,try for some time off work and let you know.you got some different coloured stones,nice.

Would be fun. Yeah got some strange coloured ones, a few yellows, couple of Whites and a bunch of Reddish Zircons.

Nice stones Dezman, you sure worked hard for them. Was talking with my mate the other day and we are going to work that way from now on, dig a 2x2 hole down to the wash layer and sieve the whole 2x2 wash layer and fill it back in.

Keep an eye on reddish zircons. A friend had a couple that looked a little odd. When he tested the S.G. they turned out to be rubies! Hard to spot among a sea of yellow-brown-red zircon.

Thanks Heatho, did you mean 2meters? Because there are some big rocks in the way. My friend and I dug down 8 feet! No wash level, oh the pain.

Some lovely stones there guys those Zirc's should cut into some very pretty stones

It is not uncommon to find rubies at gg, if one is unsure $50 you can buy a diamond tester, which tests heat, basicly also presure, it will tel you if you have pretty quartz or diamond, rule of thumb, most diamond will fall through the 1/8 seive, and is tetrahedron in shape, panning is key

wow that is great good to see the different types I will know not to throw them away now first time out picked up green looking stone nearly chucked it thinking it was beer bottle glass but my rule is keep it if it looks different i will try and put up picture just having trouble getting camera to take clear pic any hints how to make it easy for me to share pics
