Was around Tarnagulla early in the week detecting in a large burnt area and have never seen so many fallen and still standing burnt out trees. Watch out for the widow makers burnt out at the base and ready to go.
I've seen gum trees shed huge branches before when there wasn't even a breath of wind, sometimes all of a sudden they just let go with no apparent reason at all.
Change of weather and look out.
WhereI live has a golf course all round the town with Sugar gum trees that are 60 feet or more high. It makes me wonder why no one has been killed by them. They are allways dripping limbs especially durind storms. Scarry.
