Yep me as well , Wife and kids off to Granny in Inverloch for Christmas and Boxing day, Granny and I well the less said the better.

Got the music loud and had my first Rum at noon having a great day

My Christmas afternoon. While management, office staff and most train drivers are home with their families the 6 of us in my team who work in the terminal sit watching the clock. No actual work to be done but they don't let us have a day off.

We have had an OK night at work. We all brought in some food. cheese plate, fruit, nibblies, prawns, ham. Plus a pav and trifle for dessert. Looks like a couple of hours work to end the shift which isn't ideal.

Some people have a choice and some do not... Some may be alone but not forgotten.. Some may have people around them, but wish they did not.

Sometimes you have no choice or say in the matter...

And after a year of many ups and down health wise; on the 22nd it was surgeons and specialists in a flap and on the 24th got the call to say - missed by "..." that much.

I am still here and I am not 100% if the wife is sad / happy or over then moon that I am still here.

And we are yet to have a final diagnosis ....

So where ever you are or who you may be with - take a deep breath smile as getting older is never fun.

Stay safe and lets see the new year in for better or worse.
