WHIPSTICK MADNESS

Gidday all,
has anyone else had issues with the whipstick in relation to excessive noise? I have now been there 4 times and every time my GPX5000 goes crazy. Mainly the Neilborough area.
I have checked and re checked my settings and I even took the detector to the miners den in Bendigo and they said my settings were spot on.
Went back out and instant noise that just seems to build.
No fences, no power lines and Im not near the car or have steel capped boots!!!!
I prospect Dunolly and surrounds often and never have a problem. Any help or suggestions very welcome as the whipstick looks very worthy of further inspection.

The victorian police run a lot of there radio broadcast through bendigo repeater station.
Maybe since everything has gone digital it's changed frequency?

Try going out with someone else with a 5K & compare settings?

I hired one for the day and used it there ( gpx 5000) I found it was noisy there as well.
