My friend had to go to work the other night and there was a lot of upturned cars and motorbikes on the highway

It has just started raining again now...
They have reopen the road into where I live but you can not get access the road because of this

Poor Mitzy.... 8.( That same thing happened 10yrs ago... It took them 3yrs to fix with a cost of more than the last section of the F3 coming out of Sydney.... The RTA said that if it happens again they will just close the road permanently... Problem with that idea there isn't another way around unless you want to travel 130km....

At least there is a guard rail now... Years ago all there was to stop you going over the edge was a 150mm x 150mm concrete edge there... ..
Mates Mum went over the edge and was found 5 days later in her wreck... Banged up but ok.. :argh:

I remember the fist time I went up the Gap. Very nice view to Brisbane City- but- also very distracting especially going downhill on brakes nearly all the way. No wonder so many trucks give up the ghost either way. There's a bypass toll road I haven't used yet. :8

Yes there is another way too, Takes you past the Zoo...... but not good enough for trucks and cars with a few singe lane bridges.. .... The new Toowoomba road is open, but I refuse to pay twice for roads...

FYI there were Yellow lines right around NSW. And now they are trailing them again...... They paint them Yellow so you can see them in the Rain and Fog... Google the pics... :lol:
