I really like the film "downfall" the actor who played Hitler in that really did a good job. Not only was the mimicking of his movements and body language superb but the manic behavior of Hitler during the end of the war was portrayed really well

Might seem like an odd choice but I'm a massive WW2 buff so anything set in that era captivates me

Black Sails

A prequel to the classic Robert Louis Stevenson novel "Treasure Island," "Black Sails" is a pirate adventure that centers on the tales of Captain Flint, who has a reputation throughout the West Indies as being the most brilliant, most feared of all the Golden Age pirates. It's 1715, and as Flint fights for the survival of New Providence Island -- a debauched paradise teeming with pirates, prostitutes, thieves and fortune seekers -- in the wake of threats from British and Spanish forces, he aligns himself with Eleanor Guthrie, daughter of the local kingpin, to hunt the ultimate prize and ensure his people's survival. But standing in the way are rival captains, Eleanor's intrusive father, and perhaps the bigger obstacle of all: John Silver, a young, fast-talking, authority-flouting sailor recently added to Flint's crew.

Here is another show i quite enjoyed.

Klondike

Klondike is a three-part mini-series by the Discovery Channel that was broadcast on January 2022, 2014. It was the network's first-ever scripted miniseries and was directed by Simon Cellan Jones and executive produced by Ridley Scott. Klondike stars Richard Madden and Augustus Prew as two adventurers who travel to Yukon, Canada, in the late 1890s during the Klondike Gold Rush.

I used to have so many dvd's, even when they cost $30 or more I'd be happy to get paid and go buy 10-20 at a time.
I took pretty much all of them out of the cases and put them in those folders when I was going back n forth to Canada, my rotten ex pinched them all in a blindside!!

I worked it out to somewhere between $14,000 & $15,000 I had paid in dvd's!! and a handful of blurays as they were only newish at the time.

Thankfully I have most of them all in digital form now safely in a media player besides the TV, every now and then I remember a movie and think hmm better grab it. Still would like to have the original hardcopy though.

Hard to replace some of the box sets and collector's editions.

Been having a laugh with my missus, she has never seen a Star Wars movie, I told her she needs to watch them all before we go to The Last Jedi.

She might have to start the schooling tonight, 4K 65" TV 7.2 channel surround sound, not bad considering how many times I watched the first three on VHS on a tv that resembled this one
