Looks like a Pro Job.

I like how you have managed to cut out the bread crate is perfect zig zag pattern all the way down.

I found with mine that very little gold made it to the bread crate, it was caught in the catwalk mesh.

Good luck with the christening and looking forward to the debrief and the pics of Gold as well!

thanks mate, I will give it a test run this weekend :D , I followed WALs instructions to the letter. I've seen Greg's one in action and yes your right all the gold trapped in the catwalk mesh with some in the bread crate.

My Walbanker has arrived :D

A massive thanks to Wal for building this for me, I can't wait to get out there and run some dirt through it.

Looks good nugget, cheet lol ;) nice build Wal.
Wow there are some real nice looking walbankers getting built. Mine is getting there, I have not strait copied Wal, just used his ideas and made it suit my area a little more ( I hope ). And it does not look as tidy as what is on here :/ better get the gold, as it only gets 1/10 for looks hahaha

What a bloody bewdy mate. Built by the master himself, now there's absolutely no excuse Nugget, except that it seems that the gold lies down South :p :D

looks great, eerrr anytime your in QLD and feel like making another one I'll shout you a few cartons

Looks good mate, hopefully I can crank mine up tomorrow after sourcing another camlock adapter.

Can I ask why you weren't expecting any gold, was it the location?

knows area only reef gold lots holes follow a small reef but nothing in dirt I took samples from many areas :( may downs area mount Isa . I'm locked out my gold area until rivers go down :)

Ah OK, hopefully the creek goes down soon so you can get to your spot.

I fired up my walbanker for the first time yesterday.

Only ran 1/3 of a bucket through that I brought back, got a few small flakes out of it (expecting most to be on bottom of bucket after the long walk and long drive with it)

I was pretty impressed with the bread crate, you can really see the zig zag flow going down with the rocks..
I might even do another crate and try get the pattern more uniformed to flow more

We need a thread started where everyone with a walbanker can post so we can get a tally on how many marvellous machines are out there now :)

WARNING,
Use of a Wal banker will get u tons of fine fine fine 8) gold.
What do I do now lol,
12 buckets of dirt, boulders, roots and anything else I could shovel went in, got 1/8 or less of a bucket of cons  ( mine is a mini with a 12v bilge pump  )
Got my biggest picker out of her 2 :D , and sooo much fines, I can't believe how well it worked.
Many thanks for all the help Wal, u r a legend for sharing ur idea with us all

Glad it's getting plenty of gold for you Pete. Guess now you're going to have to hone up on your panning skill levels....

Hey Pete any chance you can share a couple pics of your setup? im currently in the process of making my first sluice/high banger and im using a bilge pump setup.
Im currently using some of wals ideas and a few others ive seen around on the net and mashing them into one. will it work? who knows. at least yours does so seeing a visual of yours would be greatly appreciated.

Main thing im worried about is my length and width of my sluice. its 300mm wide and 1200mm long. curious as to whether my bilge pump will produce sufficient water for this size sluice.
maybe wal can answer this with his years of experience on the subject or anyone else for that matter.

Cheers.

Hey no pay no prey my highbanker is 1200 long by 300 wide I tested it last weekend with a 2" pump run at half throttle was good so I'm thinking you will need Atlest a 1" to run it I also tested a 12v bilge pump on a mini river sluice I knocked up it was 900 long by 200 wide and the bilge didn't provide enough but this may have been because the battery was not very strong.. I suggest you go for a 1.5" pump mate hope this helps
Cheers

Thanks for the advice Digginholes. looks like i'll be investing in a 1.5" to 2" pump for my current high banker.
And in the near future make a smaller portable sluice box to use with my 12v bilge pump.

No probs mate check out gum tree I got mine from there for $185 pick up from princess hwy rockdale the guy had a heap of them I think the 1.5" was $165 heaps lighter more portable but I went for the big flow just in case lol
